Conditions treated
Spinal conditions we assess and treat.
Every patient is different. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your condition, your symptoms and your goals.
Herniated Disc
A bulging or herniated disc pressing on a nerve root, commonly causing severe leg pain.
Facet Joint Arthritis
Wear in the small joints at the back of the spine, a frequent source of chronic lower back pain.
Sciatica
Pain radiating from the back or buttock down the leg, caused by irritation of a lumbar nerve root.
Spinal Stenosis
Narrowing of the spinal canal that compresses the nerves, causing leg pain on walking.
Back Pain
Low back pain that lingers or keeps returning — most settles without surgery, but persistent or worsening pain deserves a proper assessment.
Neck and Arm Pain
Neck pain, or pain radiating into the shoulder and arm, often from a cervical disc or nerve irritation.
Myelopathy (Cord Compression)
Pressure on the spinal cord causing clumsy hands, balance problems or weakness — a condition that needs timely review.
Spondylolisthesis
One vertebra slipping forward on another, causing back pain and nerve compression.
Degenerative Scoliosis
A sideways curve of the spine that develops in adulthood as the discs and facet joints wear.
Adjacent Segment Disease
Degeneration in the level next to a previous fusion, often causing a return of back or leg pain years after surgery.
Failed Back Surgery
Ongoing or returning pain after previous spinal surgery, requiring careful re-assessment.
Osteoporotic Compression Fractures
Vertebral fractures caused by weakened bone, often after minimal trauma.
Sagittal Imbalance Syndrome
Loss of the spine natural front-to-back alignment, leaving you stooped forward and fatigued.
Spinal Infection
Bacterial or fungal infection of the disc, bone or epidural space, including discitis and osteomyelitis.
Spine Tumours
Primary or secondary tumours affecting the vertebrae, spinal cord or nerve sheaths.
Traumatic Fractures and Dislocations
Fractures and dislocations of the lumbar spine following significant injury.
Cauda Equina Syndrome
Compression of the nerve bundle at the base of the spine. A surgical emergency needing urgent assessment.
